Kits for Yibna Kids

Although education in Gaza is free, is of a high standard, and every child goes to school from 5-15, parents are expected to provide exercise books and uniform and in these terrible times many can't afford it.

IFY raised money to provide school bags, uniform, exercise books, pens etc. for 70 children starting at 3 primary schools in September 2007, to make their first day at school happier.

A bag and 'kit' cost approximately ﾣ10 per child. An IFY partner in Yibna bought the bags and equipment locally and involved the headteachers in discovering which children were most in need.
