Fundraising Social Event - Friday, May 21, 2010
Tickets are now available for our exciting fundraiser. It will be in Room 1, Islington Town Hall, Upper Street, at 7pm on 21st May. Tickets cost ﾣ10 or ﾣ7 for concessions: early booking is advised, so book now by emailing islington_yibna@yahoo.co.uk. This promises to be a memorable evening. Join us for speakers Professor Hassassian, Ambassador, Palestinian Delegation in the UK and Jeremy Corbyn MP; food, including traditional Palestinian dishes; live music, and film. An additional highlight of the evening will be an auction, carried out by a professional auctioneer. The items will include outstanding prints (from a limited edition of ten) by Shimon Tzabar, well-known Israeli-born artist, writer and campaigner against the occupation. We are delighted that on May 21st you will also be able to preview some wonderful paintings which have arrived direct from Yibna artists, despite the Israeli siege. All the money raised at this fundraising evening will go to support Yibna.

Walk Through Islington - Saturday, 14th November - Saturday, November 14, 2009
David Rosenberg guides walks through Islington on Visionaries, Dissenters and Rebels [Islington Tribune 9 Oct 2009], which are a most exciting experience and have a lot to do with what IFY is doing for Yibna. That is why the next walk on 14th November is co-organised with IFY and half the proceeds go to Yibna. The meeting place is near the Angel: outside the Body Shop at 7, Upper Street, N1 which is just north of the junction between Upper Street and Liverpool Road. David, who is leading the walk, asks us to arrive at 10 15 to set off promptly at 10 30. The walk will take about two and a half hours.

Friendship Under Siege - Thursday, October 29, 2009

International Photojournalists speak out on Gaza - Monday, October 5, 2009
Fida Qishta and Jenny Linnell, both ISM activists, will speak about War On Gaza - the aftermath. 7pm at Islington Town Hall, Upper Street N1 2UD. All Welcome. Admission Free.
